I have been actively creating video content inside and outside of the classroom since my freshman year, with classes like Video Production and New Media Journalism, as well as during my position as Multimedia editor at The Rocket, which I held for two years. Through these experiences, I have developed my production skills and workflow as well as my intuition for what makes a compelling shot.

During the APSCUF faculty strike The Rocket continued to operate without faculty support and even published a print edition on the second day of the strike. In my role as Multimedia Editor at the time I was responsible for documenting the strike through video. I received 1st place in the News Video Documentary category from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association for this video covering the student rally in support of the striking faculty.
In addition to producing video I also covered events as the videographer, writer, and photographer. Using several different forms of media I recreated the events in my videos and stories to tell a complete story about events on campus. In addition to the usual news coverage I occasionally produced entertainment content. The Blast Off series followed The Rocket Staff through different on-campus events and this special feature brought together professors to read the best and the worst of their reviews.
